How To Remove The White Space From Google+

Google+ yesterday made a pretty big update to people’s pages yesterday and made a lot of improvements and useful additions. I personally really like the new layout and other updates, but there are also a lot of people who don’t like it. One of the biggest gripes that people have had so far, especially those using wide-screen monitors, is the increased amount of white space that there is now compared to what it looked like before the updates. So, if you want to get rid of that extra white space that you now have, you can.

Bobby has created an add-on called ‘Whitespace Remover for Google Plus’ and is available for Chrome and Firefox. What the add-on will do is basically centre the stream for you. I know that this won’t be a solution for everyone, but it does a very good job.

In the images below, I am using a 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Before (note the amount of white space to the left of the main feed)

After (Page now centred)

What do you think about the extension? How would you like to see it improved?
