Coachella 2012: Snoop Dogg Resurrects Tupac Shakur Via Hologram

Coachella 2012

Damn, now this is one concert I wish I could have been at.

Snoop Dogg’s epic Sunday night performance that was the closing act for Coachella 2012 blew the crowd away. In his incredible set which included some of the biggest names in music with the likes of Dr. Dre,Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa, he managed to have a 3D hologram of Tupac Shakur which joined Snoop singing “Come With Me,” “Hail Mary” and “Gangsta Party.”

ccording to a report, Dr. Dre had contacted Afeni Shakur, Tupac’s mother, to get permission to use her late son’s holographic image, and even made a donation to the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation.

You can watch Coachelle 2012 rebroadcast here.

The future of live performances just changed. Awesome.

  1. Interesting choice of songs Snoop chose to do with Pac. This makes me remember Natalie Cole doing something similar (via film footage) with her long-gone father.
