French Apple Store Employees Strike On The iPhone 5 Launch Day

Staff at Apple stores in Paris and across other areas of France are striking on the day the iPhone 5 is released.

The strike is being orchestrated by one of Frances largest unions, which are demanding the installation of water fountains in staff areas, the provision of meal vouchers and paying a thirteenth month salary, which is a common practice in French companies.

One of the striking French employees, Thomas stated:

“We have really bad condition of work and hard condition of work and we do our best every day, so please just take care of us.”

Apple employees approximately 1,000 people in stores across France, but states that sales of the 2 million iPhone 5 that have been ordered were unaffected.
